Program PMO & Planning Manager

Job description

For an international client of Eswelt we are looking for a senior PMO and Planning Manager.

The PMO Manager holds responsibility for the administration of the program plans, tracking of program status, and the provision of this information to the Program Lead. You will define and manage the governance and PMO operating model, scope control & internal program portfolio management, define reporting standards, manage project and program progress reporting, risk & issue management, workshop facilitation, and external governance. You will be responsible for SI and 3rd party contracts and commercial management.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall governance and methodologies for the program across all releases;
  • Manages and maintains the overall plan and ensures that all parties involved adhere to the agreed planning principles and timelines;
  • Ensures that reporting standards are adhered to as well as the timely production of consolidated program level reporting;
  • Manages the program risk & issue process ensuring that risk & issue maintenance standards are adhered to, acts as 1st escalation at program level;
  • Maintains the program scope and internal program portfolio management process to ensure program plan integrity maintained;
  • Accountable for running the internal program checkpoint and stage gate governance processes, highlighting areas of potential risk to the overall plan achievability, to time, cost and quality;
  • Works closely with the local Release Managers and System Integrators to ensure adherence to program governance and methodology;
  • Works closely with the global and local PMO teams to ensure cross-program dependencies are tracked and managed.

Key skills:

  • Ability to operate and move between strategic and operational level thinking;
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills;
  • Ability to build effective collaborative relationships in matrix organization model;
  • Experience with large-scale business transformation programmes enabled by SAP S/4 HANA;
  • Experience with tooling ProjectOnline, ServiceNow, sharepoint and office applications;
  • Spanish or Portugese (both nice-to-have).
