For a client of Eswelt we are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Data Architect to join our organization and assist our Business Intelligence team in the transition from ECC to S/4HANA.
As we embark on this migration journey, significant changes will occur in our datatables and structures, necessitating expert guidance to ensure a seamless transition and minimal disruption to our reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the BI team and stakeholders to understand the current reporting landscape and identify the key challenges and requirements during the ECC to S/4HANA migration;
- Assess the impact of the migration on existing reports within and outside of SAP, analyzing the changes in datatables, structures, and data models;
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on how to adapt and optimize existing reports to align with the new data structures and functionalities of S/4HANA FI, CO, AR, AP, MM;
- Define and document the necessary modifications or enhancements required in the reporting landscape, including data extraction, transformations, and loading processes;
- Collaborate closely with the technical teams to ensure the successful implementation of the recommended changes and to address any technical challenges or dependencies;
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of the modified reports to ensure data accuracy and completeness;
- Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops to educate the BI team on the changes, new functionalities, and best practices for reporting in S/4HANA;
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and features in SAP S/4HANA, specifically related to reporting and analytics, and proactively share this knowledge with the BI team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an SAP S/4HANA Data Architect, preferably with a focus on data migration and reporting;
- In-depth knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA data structures, data models, and reporting capabilities;
- Strong understanding of the ECC to S/4HANA migration process and the associated impacts on reporting;
- Proficiency in reporting tools such as SAP BW, SAP BusinessObjects, or other related tools, is a preference;
- Familiarity with data extraction, transformation, and loading processes in SAP environments;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and address the impact of data structure changes on reports;
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with the BI team, technical teams, and stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of requirements and expectations;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment and meet project deadlines.
Starting Date: Flexible (ASAP or in September 2023)
Duration: 6 months with option to extend
Amount of Hours a week: Flexible 8-40
Location: 80% Remote (some travel in EU involved)
