Projectmanager HR Technology

Job description

For a client of Eswelt I am urgently looking for a HR Technology projectmanager. You will lead a Workday project where multiple new functionalities need to be implemented. The ideal candidate needs to have a HR-IT background. 

The Project Manager will ensure the teams' roadmaps/plans focus on agreed business priorities, dependencies and strategies – designed based on data and business needs, and deliver against the shared objectives & goals.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Sets and executes technical or operational plans within the talent function. Either as a senior individual professional or team leader;

  • Be involved and provide input in technical or operational plans within a professional discipline;

  • Sets objectives and delivers results within a wider operational area;

  • Manager or very senior professional with advanced / well developed knowledge of Project Management theory and principles;

  • Own the successful delivery of the end-to-end project lifecycle;

  • Lead independently low / medium complexity projects with global impact (cross-functional) driving them through execution, analysis, recommendation and implementation;

  • Apply change management processes and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative;

  • Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels inside and if required outside of the organisation: work collaboratively with business unit partners and corporate support teams to drive enterprise strategy execution and partner on segment or functional strategy projects;

  • Communicate project insights and recommendations across all stakeholders;

  • Track and report progress; Creates clear planning documents together with involved departments;

  • Day to day operations with external partners (tracking budget, etc etc);

  • Support and mentor other Project Manager/PMO colleagues with delivery, sharing best practice and upskilling juniors. (Where applicable) Manage and develop a small team of Project Managers/ specialists/ coordinators;

  • Take ownership of implementing agreed parts of strategic direction of the team on line with annual objectives (V2MOM);

  • Effective communication in 1:1 environment and small & medium groups. Strong influencer in 1:1 environment and small groups;

  • Impact and Delivery: Scoping, planning and delivery of projects with limited/medium complexity independently. Scoping, planning and delivery of projects with high complexity with supervision. Able to manage multiple projects;

  • Solid understanding of a department. Able to flag issues in a project and able to propose proper solutions;

  • Ability to influence up to Director level and productively interact with Sr. Director level;

  • Own a complex project / workstream. Main stakeholders in the project are around Manager / Senior Manager level;

  • Your experience is used in core/common tasks and you seek help for complex scenarios;

  • You have a practical understanding of concepts based upon independent application at work;

  • Your independence allows you to complete most tasks and you only seek support in unique scenarios.


Starting Date: ASAP (latest by 01-09-2022
Contract Duration: 6 months with an option to extend
Amount of hours a week: 32-40 
Location: Amsterdam 50% on-site.
